Community & Sports
Organised by “BRAINSTORM ORGANIZATION” in cooperation with the Student Council of the University of Medicine, Tirana.
An activity built on the volunteer and humanitarian spirit of around 50 students, all our members. Held at the “Elderly Care Home” in Tirana.
The aim of this activity is to give the elderly residents of the home a day completely different from the usual. A day full of love, perhaps even a return of the affection that, for one reason or another, has faded a little from their children and grandchildren. A day full of emotion, where we take on the role of a friend or counsellor, staying by their side to listen to each person’s stories, worries and joys, and reminding them that they hold an important place in life, with all the contributions and values each of them has passed on to society.
Games, conversation, gifts, music, photos, laughter and even a simple lunch filled the whole day we spent with them, to give them more attention, and to build strong, almost friendly bonds that don’t end there but last for years, every time we go back to visit.
